This necklace launched the Garden Collection. I admire orchids and collect the dried flowers once they fall off the stem. This pendant was made using sheet wax, which is a soft and pliable wax that can be cut with an exacto knife and molded by hand, in order to mimic the contours of a dried orchid. The resulting design inspired my further study of the delicate shapes of dried and wilted flowers and still remains one of my favorite pieces. The surface of the metal is brush finished, giving it a soft and tactile appearance. The pendant is complimented with rhodonite and jade beads with Thai silver spacers.
It is a one of a kind piece, but please contact me about a custom order if you would like a similar style.
Materials: sterling silver, rhodonite, jade and Thai silver
